Saumur, a fairy-tale town in the Loire Valley, France

 

 

We are only 8km (5 miles) north of the historic town of Saumur.

 

 

You'll find us in St Philbert du Peuple, near the small town of Longue. The immediate surroundings are lightly wooded farmland, typically left fallow for cows and horses or growing asparagus.

It is convenient for the châteaux, wines and restaurants of the region.

             

More basic needs are served by shops and a large supermarket within a few minute's drive as well as many holiday attractions such as swimming and fishing.

The house comfortably sleeps eight in three large bedrooms, has a well-equipped kitchen, a lounge and large room (the entrée) which includes a table tennis table. The house is set in just under an acre of land - ample for eating on the patio, lounging in the sun, cooling in the small splash pool or playing one of the outside games provided.
